Writer and Poet

Adrienne’s most recent publication is Of Gardens and Witches, a collection of herbal poems from The High Window Press (September 2021).

Born in the South of England, Adrienne has ranged from Liverpool to France, Lincoln to North Yorkshire.  She published her first novel Vermin (Flambard) in 2000. Her second novel Controlling Aphrodite was shortlisted for the Virginia Prize 2009. Her third novel The Kiss is proving popular on kindle. Her poetry and stories have appeared in the small press, including anthologies Miracle and Clockwork (Other Poetry), The Clock Struck War (Mardibooks, 2014), and The Other Side of Sleep (Arachne Press, 2014).  In 2014 she published her first poetry pamphlet with Mudfog Press, title TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE MOON, as well as self-publishing two poetic sequences Flight Path and The Fibonacci Sequence. She is a featured poet in Vindication (Arachne Press, 2018). Her background in sociology, community education and psychological therapies has contributed to her writing, as has her lifelong love of nature and of travel.
